To be real, I think Wizkid is just trying not to leave the game labeled an Afro act, that's what I'm guessing, no hard feelings. And that is even no crime, if not all the artistes, most are with the desire to register a style of music and have it there on the map for the newbies to follow. Please, make sure you've read Wizkid lyrics before you disagree or start argument with this, also make sure you understand what makes an afrobeats style an Afro beat. Well if you don't know and you would like to, you could just check out Nuels Page and look for the image with baba Fela, more on Afrobeats is there. Now, back to the MIL critical angle talk, the Made in Lagos tittle for the Album is just not right. I've listened to the tracks ain't no much of Lagos thing on the 14tracks list. I see much of love, lyrics for girls all over the album.
So therefore, (i) I'm certain the album title Made In Lagos is way much against the soundtracks.
(ii) Aside from the African Giant #Burnaboy, any other artiste from this much claimed Made in Lagos?
I expected and much anticipated this album to feature things from Lagos, tell the story of Lagos, something more of Wizkid & the Lagos struggle. The title would have been a perfect match that way.
Anyways, that's by the way, as for my overall comment on the Lyrics, Styles, Vocals, Rhythms, Mood of recordings, featured artistes, producers, instrumentals, mixing and more. It's a nice work done from the starboy. I love the word selections, choice of lyrics.
