#Russia intensifies attacks on Ukrainian cities, officials say
After a Russian strike on a TV tower, air raid sirens rang in the capital Kyiv on Wednesday. According to Ukraine’s military, #Russian paratroopers landed in #Kharkiv, the country's second-largest city. Kharkiv's mayor said on Wednesday multiple people have been killed and more than 100 have been injured during the night. In the south, Russian troops surrounded the city of Kherson, but the mayor claims it is still under Ukrainian control.

US national news: All three men found guilty on federal hate crimes charges after the murder of Ahmaud Arbery

Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan were found guilty of federal hate crimes charges on Tuesday for “violating Ahmaud Arbery’s civil rights and targeting him because he was Black,” The Associated Press reports. In November 2021, the three men were convicted in the death of Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man who was fatally shot while out for a jog on February 23, 2020, and subsequently sentenced to life in prison.
